How Can I Help at Ripples of Change?
Helping individuals and strengthening families to move out of poverty into a healthier future which enables our community to be strong and vibrant.
Volunteer as an Advocate
We believe the only way to help someone move from surviving to thriving is through relationships. Advocates are community volunteers who join with a Participant/Family (individual/family facing financial instability) for 18 months of support and encouragement. Advocates are asked to attend on the first and third Thursdays of the month for dinner and Match Time from 6:00-6:30 pm. To learn more or to volunteer, contact Lisa Rivers at mrandmrs@rivers.tc.
Volunteer with childcare/youth programming
Childcare volunteers are essential to the experience. It is important to develop caring relationships with the children so the Advocates and Participants can focus on building intentional friendships in their journey out of poverty. We are looking for consistent volunteers to assist with childcare/youth programming. To learn more or to volunteer, contact Lenora Brecheisen at lkbrech@aol.com.
Provide a meal
Do you like to cook? Are you part of a group looking to perform community service? Ripples of Change provides a meal each Thursday night for our participants, and we are seeking groups to provide meals once a year, once quarter, or once a month. To learn more or to volunteer, contact Lenora Brecheisen at lkbrech@aol.com.
